Intuitive Records was established 1999 as an association by Carl Bergstroem-Nielsen and Jørgen Lekfeldt. It has the mission of documenting improvised music, both in the form of open compositions played by improvising musicians, and free improvisations. From the Danish scene as well as important music by international colleagues.
Concerning the free improvisations, we like entire pieces, sets and whole concerts - that's the way the music is presented live, and that's the way its dynamic qualities can be heard clearly. It deserves it. For the open compositions, we are happy to manifest a variety of them - this is the way in which written compositions can be contemorary also in performance practise, respecting the musicians as true collaborators.
The CD releases are described, together with reviews and sales info, in the
CD catalogue. The CDs may also be heard at your favourite streaming service - Spotify or other.
IR DigiCollection, launched 2022 with 14 releases, is a continuation on a solely streaming basis. The streaming catalogue provides various additional information about the music which you may find useful, even basic information. Despite the technological developments providing the possibility to stream music on a grand scale, text information at the streaming services is usually extremely meagre.
